Cheese Burger Buns

Okay, here’s the deal: I wanted a cheeseburger, but didn’t have a spare egg to make Flaxies for buns.  What to do?  This called for Mother Necessity!  
 
There’s the ground beef and there’s the cheese.  That’s it!  Make the cheese into "buns!"  8+)
 
Cheese Burger Buns
 
4 slices Cheddar cheese (1 oz each)
 
Heat a small frying pan over medium to medium-high heat (the lower the heat, the bigger the bun).  Add 2 slices of cheese, criss-crossed so the points alternate.  Fry until golden brown.  Flip over and fry other side until golden.
 
Remove cheese "bun" from pan onto a paper towel to drain and blot.  Repeat process for 2nd bun.  
 
I used pre-sliced cheese, but you can slice your own.  If it’s a small square, use medium heat so it will spread out more. 
 
This works great, but keep a napkin handy since it’s a little greasy.
