Crispy Almond Chia Waffle

This crispy waffle has a delicate almond flavor.  As it bakes, it smells exactly like some almond monster cookies I used to make.  Yum!  8+d

Crispy Almond Chia Waffle

2 tablespoons melted salted butter
2 large eggs
1/4 cup white Hood Calorie Countdown Beverage*
2 teaspoons Fiberfit Liquid
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons whole chia seeds

In a small bowl, whisk ingredients together well in order listed.  Let sit 10 minutes.  Bake in large (George Foreman Grill-sized) waffle iron.

This makes 1 large serving with about 4 net carbs.

* You can sub 1/8 cup water + 1/8 cup heavy cream for the Hood without affecting the carb count.
