I used these for burger buns, but they were so good, I wanted to eat them by themselves! In fact, I kept picking pieces off around the burger patty to eat plain. They’re not quite garlic cheese biscuits, but they have a similar flavor.
Chia Cheesy Garlic Bread
1/4 cup water
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup whole chia seeds
1/4 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
In a small bowl, beat egg and water with a fork until smooth. Beat in baking powder, garlic powder, and salt until well mixed. Stir in chia seeds and then cheese. Let sit for 5 minutes.
Grease fry pan and heat over medium heat. Spread chia mixture into 1 or 2 rounds (or more if you want mini rounds). When lightly browned, flip over to brown other side.
You can use these for buns, sandwiches, flat bread, pizza crust, tortillas, etc. There are about 4 net carbs in the entire recipe.
